Awaken Church, today is Wednesday, October 3rd. Today's devotion comes from Romans 12:6-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. Read, reflect, and consider the Scriptures before continuing in the devotion.
As a Christian, God has given you spiritual gifts. Upon affirming your relationship with the Lord the Holy Spirit empowered you with incredible gifts that are to be used to glorify God. Many Christians are unfamiliar with their gifts. As such, they fail to use them in their daily walk with the Lord. God has called us to live life on mission. Part of our mission, as Christians, is to glorify God and to make Him known. Using your spiritual gifts is a great way to bring honor to the Father and to draw others to Christ. Do you know what your spiritual gifts are?
There are many free resources that are out there on the topic of spiritual giftedness. I have always been drawn to one from LifeWay. I will share the link below. I would encourage you, especially those that have never given any thought to your spiritual giftedness, to print and complete the survey. Then, share your results in the comments section below or with a friend. After learning your spiritual giftedness, examine the Scriptures more and discover how you can use those gifts to glorify God.
Romans 12:6-8 says that our gifts differ according to the grace God has bestowed on us. It continues by saying that we should use them. God made you unique and He made you special. He made you with purpose and for a plan. Your life, your plan, is not a mistake but is intentional in bringing about God's plan. Be a part of God's plan. Discover and use the gifts God has given you. He made you and He equipped you to do amazing things for Him. Give your life over to Him. Ask Him to show you how you can do more and be more through the spiritual gifts He has given you. Use your gifts! Don't keep them boxed and hidden in your heart. Don't be selfish and keep them for yourself. Open the gift, explore it, and enjoy it. Share it with others!
